Image Coincidence

We've spoken many times of Penone, over and over again, and always in the best of ways, praising his work and his thoughts. This time we cannot but reaffirm the caliber of this artist by presenting this not very famous work from 1972; Coincidenza d'immagine- a series of plaster forms of a fragmented human body, upon which the real bodily image is then projected. Creating as such, a natural texture for the setting. It is a real shame that what is shown of Penone is always restricted to the same pieces of work. It is evident, and this work is the proof of it, that there are many other works this artist has to offer and that it would only make him further appreciated.
